Farm Info:
The story of Márcio’s coffee is a journey through time, rooted in a century of dedication. It began with his great-grandfather, who took the family’s first steps into coffee farming. That pioneering spirit took hold when his grandfather moved to Chapadão de Ferro, Cerrado Mineiro, becoming one of the very first to cultivate coffee in this now-celebrated region.
His father carried this legacy forward, strengthening production and refining the family’s craft. Today, the farm spans 110 hectares, with 80 hectares meticulously dedicated to the cultivation of exceptional coffee.
Today, Márcio manages the farm with deep purpose, working alongside his wife, Tânia, and
their son, Leonardo. Together, they keep this rich tradition alive, focusing on the production of highquality Red Catuaí and Mundo Novo varieties. To ensure the best expression of their terroir, the family utilizes mechanized harvesting during the peak months of June through August.

Once the cherries are gathered, they are carefully dried on concrete patios, a traditional method that allows the unique characteristics of the Chapadão de Ferro region to shine. Every harvest is more than just coffee; it is a tribute to four generations

Developed by the Instituto Agronômico (IAC) of São Paulo in 1949, Catuaí is a highly productive cross between the high-yielding Mundo Novo and the compact Caturra. Known for its dwarf stature, which allows for high-density planting and easier harvesting—Catuaí became a cornerstone of Brazilian viticulture after its release in 1972. Today, it remains one of the most widely cultivated varieties across Brazil and Central America, prized for its vigor

For this exceptional lot, Márcio strictly selected only the most uniform, peak ripe Red Catuaí cherries. Following a rigorous sorting process to eliminate defects, the cherries underwent a meticulous slow-fermentation stage on concrete patios. The lot was carefully managed to ensure an even dry, allowing for a controlled stabilization of flavors until reaching the optimal
